The Blackbird Sight™ lets you aim faster by letting your subconscious take the lead. Invented by an expert on the human eye, the Blackbird gives you a boost by presenting a triangle and letting your brain fill in the shape, something your brain does very fast – even under stress.
Dr. Timothy Kraft, an eye researcher, professor and competitive shooter, noticed how long it takes to align traditional square pistol sights. He realized it’s too much for the eye and brain to process and decided to do something about it. The result was the Blackbird Sight™. Learn more about how it works.
We named our sight the “Blackbird” in honor of the Lockheed SR-71, the now retired USAF reconnaissance aircraft. Our sight is made from titanium, just like the plane. Our sight’s profile, with tritium mounting holes, reminds us of the front view of an SR-71 (NASA photo). Lastly, our sight is fast. Maybe not Mach 3+ but you’ll notice a big difference.
